I used to think, do you know what this does, this life? It cooks, it feeds, it delivers, it delights, Then it dies.

A captivating poetic show about food, memories and faded Michelin star-studded dreams. Chef tells the thrilling tale of how one woman went from working as head chef at a high-end bistro to running a prison kitchen as a convicted inmate. As chef plans the perfect seven course meal she reveals fragments from her jagged and complicated past. A charismatic and animated character, Chef’s tale is as much a lovesong to food as it is an engaging story about how the memories we choose to shelve always somehow end up back on our plate.

As soon as I visited the School, I fell in love with the place. Perhaps it sounds a bit irrational, but sometimes you get a vibe - and you just know! BOVTS gave me all the tools I needed to prepare for a career as an actor. Sahir Mehta, MA Professional Acting, 2018
