Shakespeare's great tale of revenge and madness entwined with physical theatre and song

God hath given you one face, and you make yourself another.

Ophelia tries to escape a world that will allow her no voice. She is stifled by the overbearing men in her life. One of them is the young prince, Hamlet, with whom she is in love.

Hamlet grieves over the loss of his father. In the dark of the night, the ghost of the late king appears with a message from beyond the grave. Is this vision real? Hamlet is tormented by doubt as he is compelled to avenge his father’s murder.

5 actors, 9 characters, 1 hour. This version of Hamlet presents one of Shakespeare’s most enduringly popular tragedies through text, music, and movement.

This play is part of a double bill with Picnic at Hanging Rock as part of Directors’ Festival 2022.
