Welcome to the ageing town of Hamelin, a forgotten place shrouded in mystery and stuffed full of secrets. What really did happen here the last time a stranger came to town? Bring your detecting skills to help us find the light in the darkness of this tale. As we sift through recollections, refuse and rodents, maybe…just maybe, a happy end can be found.
Based on the children’s classic, this new adaptation sees actors in 12 separate locations come together virtually at the ‘Hamelin House’ to tell this timeless story. But…more help is needed, so budding young detectives are encouraged to grab a torch, make their own rat puppet, and join us on Saturday 27 February for this ripping yarn, jam packed with theatre magic, epic sound and puppetry galore.
Please note that this is a pre-recorded performance, but there will be an interactive feel. An accompanying activity pack is now available to download (PDF, 6113 KB).
Please note that this production will be available to stream for two weeks after the premiere.
