Becks Granger

MA Drama Directing Student

Biography

Becks is currently training on the MA Drama Directing course. She recently undertook a work placement with Ad Infinitum, assistant directing their most recent research and development. She is soon to be assistant directing Toby Hulse in The Ugly Duckling, The Red Shoes and Other Tales by Hans Christian Andersen, in collaboration with the Second Year students at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

She received her BA (Hons) in European Theatre Arts from Rose Bruford College, where she co-founded the theatre company Soft Pedal Collective. Previous credits include: Showcase season (Simply Theatre, Geneva); The Hoe-ly Trinity (Guildford Fringe); Milestone (The Rose Theatre); Roll With It (Redgates Theatre’s Original Writing Festival).

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
