Overview

The Masterclass for Voice Professionals has been designed as an opportunity for voice professionals of all levels to expand their working repertoire to serve clients in the business and political worlds. This Masterclass will focus on the unique skillset voice professionals require to support senior business executives and politicians. Whether you are a voice coach, a speech therapist or a singing teacher, you can learn techniques that can enable your clients to achieve greater success using voice and communication.

Highlights

• Distinguish the unique needs of voice work in the business and politics fields;

• Gain practical tools to meet varying client needs in different forms of voice training (one-to-one coaching, workshops, distance learning etc.);

• Develop critical client skills in evaluating client challenges, techniques and resources for support (such as storytelling, succinct messaging etc.) and best practices for giving feedback;

• Practice all tools and exercises in small groups within the classroom.

This is a one-day course, running from 10:00 to 16:30. This course is taught in our studios at Downside Road.

Course Leader

Dr Rockford Sansom is a communication coach, author, and experienced professor in the voice, theatre and academic worlds. As a coach, he has worked with Fortune 500 executives, UN delegates, members of the US Congress, speakers in TED Talks, and actors Off-Broadway and in regional theatre. He is the author of The History of Voice Pedagogy, and Vocal Traditions: Training in the Performing Arts, and for six years, he was the editor of the Voice and Speech Review, a leading communication journal. He has lectured at more than 30 universities on five continents.
