Tue 14 – Sat 18 May
We’re…
A man and a woman
Who’ve lost a child
Who first lost a child
And then…each other
Nearly a decade after the burial of their son,
HE and SHE have broken apart. But when they
are confronted with the news that their son’s
cemetery is closing and his grave must be
relocated, they are forced to reunite. Angry,
jaded, but ever curious, they meet.
Unearthing wounds once silenced, their meeting
becomes an exercise in manipulation, a grapple
of the past, and a fight for domination.
Poison is a simple but searing play about grief,
love, and the will to move on.
By arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
