Ophelia tries to escape a world that will allow her no voice. She is stifled by the overbearing men in her life. One of them is the young prince, Hamlet, with whom she is in love.
Hamlet grieves over the loss of his father. In the dark of the night, the ghost of the late king appears with a message from beyond the grave. Is this vision real? Hamlet is tormented by doubt as he is compelled to avenge his father’s murder.
5 actors, 9 characters, 1 hour. This version of Hamlet presents one of Shakespeare’s most enduringly popular tragedies through text, music, and movement.
Parental guidance advised due to mature themes throughout.
The show contains themes and mentions of suicide, parental death, bereavement, murder, and mental illness, as well as acts of violence and death that feature the use of weapons.
