A witty and heart-felt comedy

Following the journey of Hull’s LGBTQ+ pub league team Barely Athletic, this joyous comedy focuses on the five members of the team as they try and play their way to victory.
Luke fancies Danny, but Danny’s got a secret. Geoff wants a headline gig; Viv wants to win; and Joe just wants to get by. Tom Wells’ light-hearted play shows a changing room full of friendship, football antics, and finding your way. Game on.
This amateur production of Jumpers for Goalposts is presented by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
This play is part of a double bill with Girl in the Machine as part of Directors’ Festival 2022.
