£7 for a double bill (with Chef by Sabrina Mahfouz)
Evening: 7.30 pm
Running time: 50 mins approx.
All Rachel wanted was a holiday. That is before she was detained in airport security when the toy chicken she was carrying was mistaken for a bomb. Now she’s sat in an interrogation room answering questions on British foreign policy to security guards Ross and Emma.
What follows is an absurd struggle for supremacy as Rachel attempts to clear her name and her captors seek to pin her as a potential terrorist. Battle lines are drawn, plots are hatched, and chickens are microwaved.
Based on a real experience of writer Uma Nada-Rajah, Toy Plastic Chicken is an exploration of power, prejudice, and party in the face of injustice.
