Lizzie is an enthusiastic Supervisor and Dresser, particularly well experienced in outdoor theatre. She enjoys making garments with lots of decoration and textiles involved, and at the school has made an exciting tailoring project based on Prospero in The Tempest. Tailoring Project – Prospero Make

Tailoring Project: Prospero of The Tempest. Costume Design by Ping Clarke-ng. The costume consists of a tailcoat, cut with satin and high waisted trousers, with a flared hem. The project was carefully created using tailoring techniques and fitted to a model.

Akhnaten Design Project

Lizzie joined the MA Performance Designs students for a project, to design costumes for the opera Akhenaten by Phillip Glass, alongside Ping Clarke-ng, who was set and projection designer. The project was directed by Adele Thomas. Lizzie created bold and exciting designs, aiming to retain the Ancient Egyptian influences, but also evoke Afrofuturism, ideas of gender, quantum physics and religion and rituals.

Absolute Scenes – Bear and Ice Cream Costume Make

Bear and Ice Cream Costume Interpretation for Absolute Scenes. The dress was cut as an A-Line Dress in Faux Fur, with different panels and boning channels to create its exciting shape. Designed by Tash Sadier.

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
