Biography

Camilla is a freelance Casting Director working mostly in theatre.

She started out almost 19 years ago assisting on the children’s casting for the film The Others. Over the next six years she assisted some of the best Casting Directors in the business working across film, TV and theatre. She was an associate at The Royal Exchange Manchester in 2004/05. She occasionally shared projects with Maggie Lunn CDG (Hustle, The Crucible, Streetcar Named Desire) with whom she worked with for over 5 years. She became a member of The Casting Directors Guild in 2009. She was on the Council of Management for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 2012 to 2014 before moving to Georgia, USA. As her husband was posted for 3 years with the army.

Recent theatre credits include: Jane Eyre ( BOV & NT )Romeo & Juliet ( Rose Theatre ) War Horse ( West End) The Crucible ( Old Vic) Streetcar Named Desire (The Young Vic) and Recast for Boing! 2019 (BOV).

Students developing and growing in confidence during their time here, seeing their work reaching professional standards in approach and execution; a student who intends to be a stage manager producing a wonderful sound design; a first year student making a lovely recording of a song for their recording project; tracking the careers of former students and seeing them be successful; being able to find a job opportunity for a recent graduate.
