Caroline Lang

Drama Directing Student

Biography

Caroline is a theatre director from Austria, currently based in Bristol. She is training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and completed a BA in English and Drama at The University of Exeter in 2016.

Her work as a director and assistant director spans across a diverse range of productions, from new writing to puppetry to site-specific performances. She has directed and assisted on shows at the Northcott Theatre, the Exeter Phoenix, the Bristol Old Vic, the Wales Millennium Centre and the Waterside Arts Centre in Manchester.

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
