Edoardo Lelli

Theatre Design MA Student

Biography

Originally trained in architecture and interior design at Politecnico di Milano, Edoardo has designed projects for theatre, opera and fashion, and has developed a multidisciplinary approach to team relationship and storytelling. Credits include set, props design for Pericles, Prince of Tyre (Bristol Old Vic – cancelled); production design for Love Song (The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol – digital performance); a production design proposal for The Cunning Little Vixen (ROH – project) and costume design for Her Naked Skin (Circomedia, Bristol); design for period tailoring projects and La Traviata (BOVTS-project). Edoardo has also assisted Opera designer Robert Innes Hopkins in Der Fledermaus (Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Saint Louis). He also has a range of experience in portrait painting, technical drawings and model making.

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
