Biography
Natalie is a director and theatre-maker born and raised in Derby. Much of her practice centres around work through devising, adaptations and new writing, creating work that is visually striking and innovative. Natalie wants to make work that profoundly connects with regional audiences, as a director she finds herself drawn to stories that are formally experimental and invite the audience into the imaginative space. She likes work that is loud and silly, chaotic and beautiful.
Natalie originally trained as an actor at East 15 Acting School and has toured extensively across the UK and Internationally with companies such as The HandleBards, Birmingham Stage Company, Maison Foo, Sell A Door and Tangram Theatre. She has Assistant Directed Sally Cookson on the critically acclaimed production, Emilia by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm and Gary Sefton on Let The Right One In by Jack Thorne. She will be directing The Ugly One by Marius Von Mayenburg at The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol in her final term.
